Hvor bredt et sortiment skal man have?

Det umiddelbare svar er: ”Så bredt som I har råd til”.
For at kunne diskutere hvor bredt, er det vigtigt at holde sig øje, hvem der skal betale: Er det jer eller kunden? Denne blogpost indeholder en lille matematisk øvelse, I kan drage fordel af, når I skal beslutte, hvor bredt jeres sortiment skal være.

Udfordringen
Antallet af CC-varer er for de fleste virksomheder relativt stort, og mange vil gerne være lagerførende på netop disse varer. Jeg hører ofte, at det er en bevidst del af markedsføring: ”Hos os kan du få varen” eller ”Vi er stolte over at have reservedele til alle vores maskiner på lager”. Men hvis det er tilfældet, skal man huske at placere afskrivningen af ukurante CC-varer på marketingskontoen, og er marketing parat til det?

Best practice: Bevola A/S has reduced inventory levels dramatically through special agreements with key subcontractors. What is most surprising is that the new agreements are for mutual benefits.

Bevola, a Europe-based manufacturing company offering products and solutions for the transport sector, has reduced inventory levels on their most important products (AA products) as subcontractors have agreed to lower the delivery time. In return subcontractors have gained insights in Bevolas’ needs and future production plans making their own production flow easier to forecast and plan. – A true win-win situation for both parts.
