Brdr. A&O Johansen A/S has reduced its inventory value by DKK 500,000 and has experienced some of the benefits that an open dialogue with suppliers can bring.
Brdr. A&O Johansen chose to run a pilot which consisted of sending data about seven item numbers to one of its suppliers. The supplier responded by recommending halving the safety stock for the goods, as they were able to guarantee shorter delivery times and a guarantee of delivery in the future.
Brdr. A&O Johansen thus experienced how relevant data in ABC Analyzer can be shared with suppliers wisely: Brdr. A&O Johansen reduced its inventory value by DKK 500,000 and had no problems with the notably lower safety stock.
